A customer wanted to understand elements that were lighter elements than XRF is capable of measuring. To achieve this goal, Enersoft teamed with a vendor to integrate a high-power scanning Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) instrument on the Enersoft rock scanning platform. This instrument vendor was selected based on the LIBS work they are currently doing for NASA.
This project is one of very few where space technology was quickly adapted for industrial needs. The customer figures that the data from this project will save them 3 years of research into the efficacy of this technology.
So, if you have light elements that you would like to quantify, or if you just want to see some plasma, give us a call.
